Carl was a lifelong resident of Newark. He graduated from Essex Catholic HS
where his continued dedication to the wrestling program spanned 4 decades. He
loved music, the company of friends, Disney, his dog Maxwell and helping
students especially athletes. He founded the Maxwell Sunfrost Foundation which
was dedicated to spreading happiness and understanding as well as scholarships
for Irvington students. Carl loved living in North Newark where he touched many
lives. He felt rich as he lived in a small carriage house. Carl counted his
blessings as he walked Maxwell in Branch Brook Park. He leaves behind a family
of loving friends. His last move, he made without the help of friends. A happy
heart was his only possession. He now lives in the house of the Lord where it’s
ok to smoke outside. God bless you, Carl.
